About Me
Since Marcel's departure in fall 2007 we have been lucky to have been helped by our friends Monchito, Wouter, and Darrell to play bass and make sure we could continue our tours in Europe and South America; while looking for a permanent replacement.
This night, Darrell told us he wanted to join forces and try to make it with Cultura Tres. He explains his decision with the following message:
This new role is going to be different than the one I fulfilled in my previous band, but by far not of lesser importance. Having also been a bassist for a long period in my early musical career I am confident that I can apply every drop of my creative talent to serve the music in Cultura Tres in a unique way; both composing and live on stage.
I am very happy to be part of Cultura Tres and get on board for this new journey."
We are proud to welcome Darrell to Cultura Tres, and feel that together with him we can explore new musical directions, as we've already done on some new tracks for our upcoming debut album. We can't wait to let all of you hear the new material, it's coming up very soon! And as soon as we're finished with the recordings, expect us to hit stages in South America and Europe...

Dear all,
with pain in my heart I've decided today to leave the band. Due to personal circumstances I see no other option then to temporarily say goodbye to my musical activities. I want to thank everybody that supported me during all these years and made being on the road worthwhile. To all the bands, nice people and close friends I met producing noise: Gracias, I'll miss you, but I'll be back, in time...
In the coming period I'll still be covering the shows for Cultura Tres untill we have found a suitable replacement.

Cultura Tres: Metal del Tercer Mundo
Metal band Cultura Tres has its origins in Venezuela, South America. Since its beginning - almost a decade ago - Cultura Tres always remained a hobby project, simmering in the background. Occasionally the project provided songs for the other bands that the musicians were involved with, but it never received the attention it deserved.
Not anymore. In the fall of 2006, Cultura Tres is finally done justice, getting the full attention it deserves. The four musicians decide to combine their skills and experience gained from years of writing, recording and performing in different bands, in which they already achieved a lot. Now they aim to make the same happen again, this time by staying true to the original idea of Cultura Tres: brutal, dark and primitive.
After releasing their first EP "Seis" at the end of 2006, the band starts to do several shows in the European underground, soon landing support slots for Pro-Pain (USA) and Gorefest (NL). At the end of 2007, the band heads back home to tour in the top venues of Venezuela, South America. In January 2008, the band is invited for a short tour to Czech Republic, and gets the opportunity to record their debut album in Holland. The album will contain thirteen songs of South American opposition, and is planned to be ready in May 2008.
