About Me

In the summer of 2004 negotiations to re-release the entire Gorefest back catalogue resulted in the band reforming. After a 6 year hiatus Gorefest were back in its original mark II line-up. A renewed affiliation with Nuclear Blast Records resulted in La Muerte, a triumphant return to the world of Metal. The band appeared at numerous festivals such as Dynamo Open Air, Wacken Open Air, Graspop, Earthshaker, With Full Force and Lowlands, played countless shows on their own, and slowly but surely regained form into the massive and tightly wound live-unit they were known for in the 90’s. Probably heavier as well, as can be heard on their latest CD, Rise To Ruin.
