Good Dog Happy Man

We Are A Bad Case Of Euphoria

About Me

Good Dog Happy Man was founded in 2001 by a couple of semi-prof and professional musicians, who became tired of playing the same old covers over and over again. Doing gigs with Ad Visser's Disco Discoveries is good money, but after certain time Relight My Fire becomes a real drag. . . not mentioning the fifth million version of Autumn Leaves on whatever wedding or rightwing political party. After a few months rehearsing in the livingroom of the Daimond Recidence in Utrecht, as "The Band Currently Known As Goldsmith", the group decided to find another spot to practice their skills, mainly because the Playstation at the Daimond Recidence was drawing all their attention. It influenced the band that much, they almost decided to call the band "Tommy Vercetti And The Big Cojones". Happily dBs Studios had some room left, and due to the variaty of beers served there, they came up with a new name: Good Dog Happy Man.In 2003 they phoned up their old discoband-bandmate Michiel Mullink (who happens to be aside bas-and trumpetplayer, a soundtechnician at the wellknown Earforce Studio in Amsterdam) and they recorded the first GDHM demo. Not fully sadisfied with the results, GDHM returned to the rehearsalroom to practice new repetoire, more based on live performance than the small setup "livingroom songs". Tunes like Wasyourswasmine and the underground hit Pass The Salt, Fucker! were born.About a year later they recorded, along with Michiel, the "Garden Demo", containing Pass The Salt, Fucker, which started things off. This demo became www.Utracks.nl Demo of the Year, made the band Talent of the Week at Ongekendtalent.nl, and the demo got played from Japan to Texas.Good Dog Happy Man recorded in August 2006 their newest tunes, again with Michiel at Earforce, and the EP containing 6 songs called the Mute EP, will be released September 2006.
