About Me

The Gasoline Brothers are a band that consists of four brothers originally from Limburg, Texas. Disappointed by the conservative music climate in their home town, they moved to The Netherlands.
The Gasoline Brothers took their musical roots with them to The Netherlands, along with their suitcases. If you listen to their music well, you can hear desolate echoes of the Texas plains, howling winds and running cattle. Although they will never admit it, in their hearts, The Gasoline Brothers remain cowboys.
Yet they are far from traditional! Their songs explore the borders of rootsrock and often have surprising similarities with alternative popbands like Guided by Voices and Pavement. Besides that, the heavenly melodies of the Beach Boys have not remained unnoticed in Limburg, Texas.
Their debut album 'hm!' was released january 2006 on My First Sonny Weissmuller Recordings. Expect rootsy pop and rock with suprising arrangments, like Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.
