'I AM THE STRUGGLE, THE STRUGGLE IS ME!'

About Me

"I'ma spit 'till I exhaust my salivary glands", a line from one of his tracks, simply titled "SPIT", probably best describes this Zambian born MCs attitude towards his chosen craft. With a raw, often aggresive rhyme style, coupled with an uncanny honesty in his lyrics, C-4 The Bomb has established a reputation for himself as a rapper who literally 'tells it like it is' when coming to terms with some of lifes harsher realities. "I've seen and been thru a hell of a lot in the twenty something odd years I've been alive & music has been the ultimate conduit for me to truly express myself." What began as only a hobby with childhood friend Erasto Siwo, has transformed into the pursuit of a global platform from which to narrate his experiences living in third world Africa. Apart from performing with The Real Elements, the Malawian hip-hop group that has been waving their flag high across Europe, The Bomb, which is one of the names he is often called by, also rocked the house at a Voice Of America Hip-Hop Against AIDS show in Lusaka, Zambia in December 2003. A more recent highlight was his 'explosive' performance at the 2005 Lake Of Stars Festival, alongside Marvel (of the Real Elements) and Dominant 1. The show also included Felix B from Basement Jaxx as well as DJ Yoda from the U.K. An annual occurence, the festival promotes the idea of cultural exchange, breaking down barriers and opening the rest of the world's eyes to all that Africa has to offer, which is something The Bomb strongly believes in. "I'm here now, to showcase Africa's re-emergence on the worldwide rap scene. I say RE-emergence because, in all honesty, WE started it all. Rap didn't begin in the Bronx, it began in a little village in the Motherland, centuries ago. And you can quote me on that too." The Bomb has arrived to usher in a new era of rapper, The Global MC. While collaborating with other African MCs (and fellow myspace members) Conscious, Dominant 1, Dynamike, Skire, J Luvly, Marv The Smuggler & NowYaKnow Entertainment to name a few, he's found time to appear on "UMFWENI", the debut compilation from Sling Beats, arguably the biggest record label in his home country, Zambia. He was also recently awarded fourth place in an international songwriting competion, 'ghostwriting' for other artists being another avenue he's looking to explore. With his own debut album well under way, this rhyme-spitter's future is so bright all he needs now is a fresh pair of RayBans. He has garnered props for not only being a ferocious battle lyricist but also for being the type of person almost anybody can relate to & for his ability to tackle almost any subject matter. Be it the constant struggle to survive and make ends meet, wildin' out 'n' hittin' the club or even matters of the heart. A very well-rounded individual who is no doubt about to blow up like his name implies. MySpace Layouts @ HOT FreeLayouts.com
