Vaguely familiar...yet distinctly original. A big tent revival of the nearly lost art of Rock and Roll with a uniquely modern twist. A lyrical journey that exposes the struggles and celebrates the joy of our humanity amidst the backdrop of a sound that is everything it needs to be and nothing it doesnt.
TinCan Carnival formed in the fall of 2005 by 5 guys with no other common thread but the desire to rock. Vocalist, Clint Krcmar, brings a wealth of experience having played drums throughout his extensive music career but it is his engaging vocal style that brings listeners into this journey. Guitarists Paul Rhoads and Chris Fender represent an interesting dichotomy that melds the styles and influences of yesterday and today into a musical fabric that envelopes the listener. The elegance of bassist, Monty Robertson, is in his minimalism allowing the music to breathe while drummer, Dan Graff, infuses a colorful musicality into a driving rythym.
A quick listen of TinCan Carnival may invoke thoughts of modern rock acts such as Counting Crows, Velvet Revolver, or even Breaking Benjamin and Staind. However, a deeper listen might reveal a distinctly different sound that incorporates the history of rock and roll with a strong nod to the future resulting in that band/audience connection that has become increasingly rare in todays music
