TOURETTES WAS FORMED 6 YEARS AGO IN LEBANON, MISSOURI BY SINGER
NATHAN COLE AND GUITARIST C. LEGG. THE DUO BEGAN TO WRITE SONGS AND PERFORM FOR SMALL CROWDS IN LEBANON. AFTER BUILDING A SIZABLE FOLLOWING, IT WAS TIME TO COMPLETE THE LINEUP. WITH THE ADDITION OF BASSIST MIKE LANDERS AND DRUMMER SCOTT CRUNK, THE
BAND BEGAN PLAYING VENUES AROUND MISSOURI AND THE BORDERING STATES.IN 2005 TOURETTES SAT DOWN AT AIRBOURNE AUDIO IN KANSAS CITY TO RECORD THIER FIRST ALBUM, "STRAIGHTJACKET LULLABIES." UPON ITS COMPLETION THE BAND ONCE AGAIN TOOK TO THE ROAD PROMOTING AND SELLING THEIR NEW PROJECT. THE ALBUM WAS A SUCCESS AND THINGS WERE HEADED IN A POSITIVE DIRECTION UNTILL SOME CONFLICTS BETWEEN BAND MEMBERS CAUSED A LENGTHY PAUSE IN THE BANDS PROGRESS.
AFTER THE DEPARTURE OF THEIR DRUMMER AND SEVERAL MONTHS OF UNCERTAINTY THE BAND DECIDED TO PUSH ONWARD. TOURETTES PICKED UP LOCAL DRUMMER MICHAEL PROCK AND BEGAN PLAYING AND WRITING NEW MATERIAL. A FEW MONTHS AFTER REGROUPING TOURETTES WAS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BODOG BATTLE OF THE BANDS IN MINNEAPOLIS. A POSITIVE REACTION TO THEIR MUSIC TOLD THEM IT WAS TIME TO SHINE AGAIN.NUMEROUS SHOWS AND RADIO PLAY ON LOCAL STATIONS 100.1 THE BUZZ(COLUMBIA, MO.) AND 102.1(SPRINGFIELD, MO.) HAS THE BAND BACK IN FORM AND READY TO RECORD A NEW ALBUM THIS SUMMER. THE FOLLOWUP TO STRAIGHTJACKET LULLABIES IS SURE TO BE A SMASH. TOURETTES WILL POST THE INFORMATION ON THIS SITE WHEN RELEASE DATES BECOME AVAILABLE.
