About Me

Filament is an original rock band based in Columbia, Missouri. The band's unique sound combines equal parts swagger, introspection, fine-tuned songcraft, and epic improvisations. A Filament show drips with and edgy energy; the songs are melodic, with a reverent nod to the past, and have fat modern grooves that leave you both uplifted and emotionally drained. The band is just as likely to throw down a towering riff, scream an anthemic chorus, slip into a hypnotic jam, or unveil a heartfeld Floyd cover.
"It is nice to see another band doing something different from the everyday record label rubber stamp rock. These guys have an "album rock" sound; edgy, well-written, jam band rock, but with a modern rock feel...These guys do for 70's music what The Killers do for 80's music." --Bret Baker, Manager, Morning After Music
