aOn the 24th day of May 1979 A-Mixfit was born. Raised on the northeast side of Oklahoma City, the artist Mixfit has come a long way. Surviving lots of test, trials, and lots of losses she still remains to express what she feels in her music instead of duplicating what she seen growing up.Growing up a real hip hop head, a lover of alternative rock, and a big neo-soul fan, Mixfit has a wide variety of influence when it comes to music. All these genres of music helped to form a unique voice, unique rhyme scheme, unique style, which you can hear when listening to Mixfit.Mixfit says "I have always felt like I didn't fit in. Growing up in one of the most gutta parts of OKC and being into what I was into was hard. While everyone was bumping Pac I was seriously listening to Smashing Pumpkins, Erykah Badu, or Jimi Hendrix, and not to mention wearing all black while doing what I do...lol. Hey, but now that I am all grown up I have no shame and I feel free to be who I am. I can now let people hear what I have to say and have come to grips that some people may like it and some may not. All I can say is I have found myself and I am done attempting to do what I can't which is fit in with the norm. I want people to feel me and most do but for the ones that don't I say GET ON DA BUS....lol."Full of personality and confidence you will enjoy this artist and what she brings to the game.
