FANBOY COMEDIAN

About Me

I’m a stand-up comedian and writer. I’ve written a lot of different stuff but the most-discussed thing I’ve ever penned was this blog entry slamming Quidditch .
I’m a collector of a category of Japanese toy robots called Jumbo Machinders. I’m pretty insane about it, actually. I found the holy grail of the series in 2006. You can read a PRESS RELEASE about the find from toyboxdx.com.Since 03/30/08, I’ve kept a list of every movie I watch. Six year’s later, the list is up to 1032, which isn’t very good. In any event, HERE’S THE LISTKING OF COMEDY OF THE DC UNIVERSE Here are a couple of pages from Green Lantern, issue 143. The plot revolves around the villain "Grayven," son of Darkseid, becoming "jokerized." In this state, it is his goal to become the top stand-up comedian around. His first step is to blow up all the comedy clubs in NYC (After performing at some of them I can honestly say perhaps some of them deserve such a fate). Grayven’s final gambit, however, is the real clincher. Like some super-powered Rupert Pupkin, he ties up the "nations most popular comedian" and then does a set on his (late-night, TV talk) show. And who is this top comedian of the DC universe? The comic/"TV star" who would have to be gotten rid of somehow before anyone else could be considered the "most popular?" Why lo and behold, it’s me! I’ll tell you, any struggles I’ve had in the comedy world of our universe are easier to take knowing that when Clark Kent or Bruce Wayne have a night off and want some laughs, it’s me they’re watching on TV before they hit the sack. Although it’s unclear from the issue itself, I’ve spoken to the author and I do survive. I wonder how many MySpace friends I have in the DC universe...
