About Me

I'm an artist who works primarily in scratchboard: a piece of wood coated with a thin layer of white clay, which is then coated completely with black ink. When dry, I scratch through the ink with fine knives to reveal the white clay beneath. Each white line you see in my work is a scratch through the ink. I also make etchings and relief prints.
I live in Los Angeles and my studio is in Hollywood. I am a former cinematographer and occasional pinhole photographer.
