Brazilian Composer, Born in February 13th, 1978.Composer of many soundtrack pieces, for theatrical and movie plays since 1994, Leo Alves Vieira have been writing for many other instrument formations in the 'academic' scene since 2001. He's debut as a composer was at the XV Biennial of Brazilian Contemporary Music, 2003, with the piece "Estilhaços-Constante Volta ao Indeterminado" (2002) for acoustic and electronic instruments, played by OFELEX.

His debut album "Sounds of the Orange Coloured Forest" was released september 2006 by Pralaya Records, from Brooklyn/NY.

Acousmatic Works

Compõe e interpreta (Violão) profissionalmente desde os 16 anos trilhas para curta-metragem ("O Fantasma do Teatro Municipal" de Luis Carlos Lacerda, "De Graça" de Mário Rocha, etc.) e teatro, onde compõe, interpreta e dirige musicalmente os espetáculos do premiado diretor Carlos Augusto Nazareth, como "O Menino Detrás das Nuvens" e "As incríveis aventuras de Zé Grande e seu fiel companheiro Manduca" e outras peças como "Absurdos" de Francisco Salgado e "Cintilante" de Milton Quadros. Desde 2000 vêm apresentando-se na Academia, atuando no coro que estreou mundialmente peça inédita de Edino Krieger no Teatro Municipal do Rio, em comemoração de aniversário da UFRJ. Em 2003 estréia obra sua em concertos junto ao grupo "OFELEX", estreando como intérprete e compositor na XV Bienal de Música Brasileira Contemporânea do mesmo ano (FUNARTE).

Seu primeiro disco "Sounds of the Orange Coloured Forest", de música eletroacústica na sua maioria, foi lançado em setembro de 2006 pela Pralaya Records, do Brooklyn, Nova York.
