About Me

I'm a free lance photojournalist working primarily in the "extreme" entertainment genre, with a vast array of personalities from Marilyn Manson to The Torture King,Mistress Gen of the Genitorturers to The Residents and much more. I think it is important to capture these incredibly unique, breathtakingly beautiful and surreal moments as they occur in reality and also, the artists who create them , because they will NEVER,EVER happen the same way twice. In terms of the BIG picture: I don't exploit, but document history.I feel the poetry in life,as I translate it through my lens-it's my contribution to what is the best humanity has to offer and worth preserving. I am interested in doing promotional and portfolio development for those who share this sensibility: bands,(press kits),dancers,actresses/actors,Sideshow/Circus/ Burlesque performers and fetish/fashion models. Feel free to review my Concert and Sideshow work on the following sites: www.hrgiger.com ,go to music, click onto Korn. www.thehouseofbluelights.com ,click onto Disturbed. www.thebrothersgrimsideshow.com and www.genitorturers.com .I have conducted interviews with Paul Booth,The Human Marvels (The Enigma and Katzen),Mushroomhead,Nashville Pussy,Motorhead,Marz, Marilyn Manson,Rammstein,The Union Underground,Ministry,Matt Zane of Society1 and Jai Diablo of Dragpipe, Uncle Floyd,Gidget Gein and Pet Silvia,She Wants Revenge,in addition to CD release and live concert/event/show reviews for "Propaganda Magazine","The Aquarian Arts Weekly" and "Metal Hammer". My photographs of "The Brothers Grim Sideshow" performers will be appearing in the soon-to-be-published coffee table book, entitled "Sideshow extreme", by James Innes-Smith,Bloomsbury Books UK/USA,Spring 2005 and in James Taylor's annual edition of "Shocked and Amazed".
I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

My Interests

Pop Art and Fauvism with their shamelessly arrogant colors, simplistic forms and bold compositions. The exploration of Tantra,Kundalini, morphogenetic intelligence, telepathy and psychic phenomena.Getting lost in the transcendental trance of creativity.Day dreaming.Painting with hedonistic abandon.Searching through junk and wrecking yards for multi-media,"found art",pieces.Psychological dissection.Traditional Sideshow.Traditional Burlesque. The elegant glamour of Hollywood's "Golden Age".Passion.Romance. Stormy, windy,Turbulent days.Introspection.Drama. Heated debates and witty repartees.Men,(as much as they can be the biggest bones of contention...ahem...), I adore them anyway.Men who can wear more make-up than I do and do it better.Tough guys who swager with confidence. Delving into all aspects of the human psyche.Wandering into the magical silence of the moment while capturing the process on film.Driving for hours listening to Puccini arias in the rain.Shophisticated Bon Vivants.Dead pan humor with a flawless delivery.Bohemien madmen inspired by the irony in everything!Making mud pies.Fire Flies and fireworks.Carnevals and bright lights. The Surrealism of life/reality.Jumping in mud puddles.Running wild in the summer rain. The feel of his caress while dreaming of him.Honeysuckle and moonlight drifting through Lace curtains.Conversations that go on forever - fearless communication.Satori.

I'd like to meet:

connoisseurs, who know the difference between caviar and Burger King,(fish eggs or mealie worms-the choice is yours). Genius = aphrodisiac,HOWEVER,a handsome face and a great,(well endowed),body is always an asset! Let's underline that word "Endowed" shall we... Foreign accents knock me out!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those who are daring, authentic, shockingly original: a real "they-broke-the-mold-(and/or the condom;)-when-they-made-you" kind of personality. Dashing, cultured rogues, with the grace and charm of Fred Astaire and the spontaneously wacky humor of Pee Wee Herman (at an x-rated movie).Class acts,of course. Those who honor the integrity in others and themselves.Generous, eccentric, brilliantly witty and wise.Undaunted spirits who are confident in their talent but DEFINITELY NOT EGOTISTICAL. Noble, kind and brave -BIG SOULS-with STYLE!

Music:

Frank Sinatra when he was with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra,The raunchiest, bawdy ballads of Bessie Smith,Billy Holiday(before heroin and cigarettes destroyed her incredible voice). Joni Mitchell (especially Hajira),Hole,George Gershwin,Arron Copland,Patsy Cline,Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys, Mr.Tom Waits,Nancy Wilson, Ralph Von Williams, Marilyn Manson's Holywood-is simply masterful! Rammstein,Placebo,Kate Bush,Cole Porter,Garbage,Bunny Barrigan's trumpet solo on "I can't Get Started",Dean Martin,Old movie soundtracks; Busby Berkley and Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movies in particular,Genitorturers, Hugarian Waltzes,The Cars,Duel Jewel;Tim Skold's "Hail Mary", The Connells,The Andrew Sisters,Marty Robbins,The Las,The Pouges,Hank Williams,Barry White,Morrissy,Society1,Cab Calloway,Swing in general,Postal Service,Dresden Doll's "Coin Operated Boy"-Fantastic tune to dance to!Psychedelic Furs,XTC,Aztec Camera,Something Happens, lemmon Heads,Violent Femmes,New Order,Soft Cell,The Smiths The Water Boys, Puccini Operas, The Cure,Chopin etudes...ethnic folk music from Bali-Sicily,Pirate songs to get drunk by,(not a recent release, however)...and the list of diversity goes on and on...music is a soundtrack, forever evolving and transforming the sound of the soul in it's purist form of expression.

Movies:

.Drop Dead Fred (aka "Little Jimmy Urine" before he joined MSI),The Piano,Elmer Gantry,Black Orpheus,Elizabeth of Essex,Conan the Barbarian,(who is now the Govenor of California),On the Water Front,Barfly(that describes most of my friends),The Last Detail,42nd Street (the original staring Ruby Keeler),Morocco,The Star Maker,La Strada (Fellini's Masterpiece),Anything by Igmar Bergman,Made in Heaven (where's Waldo? Hell, where's Elmo?) The Devil's Rejects: there is just too much to say about this movie but I will say this-"SEE IT!!!!!!" The Wizard of Oz,One Flew Over the Cukoos Nest,State of Grace,The Night Porter and Cabaret (especially, the opening and closing shots-einen augenblick: In the Blink of an eye everything changes. Joel Grey's portrayal of humanity is a diabolical reflection of history-revealing the ultimate clown-IGNORANCE (of "The People") or perhaps it's a combination of fear and complacency! Whatever it's made of it is bone chilling and sadly relavent.

Television:

Never Touch the Stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Books:

Madame Bouvier,Lady Chatterley's Lover,Narcissus and Goldamund,A Long Days Journey into Night,The Grapes of Wrath,The Tao of Physics, Women Who Run with The Wolves,(I was raised by them,so it's something of an autobiography) - for better or for worse, these are some of the works that have changed my life forever... however, if I listed everything I've read,(and read) you'd be reading the Dewy Decimal System. Nerd? You bet!

Heroes:

Isadora Duncan,Amilia Erhart,Mary Magdelene
