It's not complex to understand but I am very simply a dude who seems to live two seperate lives. By day I do the computer tech crap that no one in the world (much less me) is interested in and by night I get to do the fun stuff. After the workaday world has run its course I become the Heavy Metal Journalist/Reporter. It is during these nights that I find myself reviewing some sort of CD, DVD or Book related to Heavy Metal and Hard Rock music. Easy gig eh? Not really, its actually a lot of demanding work and deadlines since websites need consistent updates. I started doing this by accident for a site in Spain called The Metal Circus, became a writer on Maximum Metal and eventually joined The Sea Of Tranquility where I still contribute even though I have launched PiercingMetal.com
This adventure would tie all my work together and the visitor will see everything that I have ever written in the past and of course all the new stuff. We took some care in its overall design and hope people use it as a reference point for many different things. The navigation is pretty straight forward and sections are as well. You will find CD, DVD and Concert Reviews as well as Interviews. Lots of concert photographs, News and Artist Link information and a Forums area. We also set up with Amazon.com for you to be able to purchase anything right from the review itself. Using this also helps the site as they give us credit for purchases. We use this to get those harder to find things.
I encourage Musical Folks to contact me about coverage and all that stuff via our official website profile which is easily viewable on the Top 8 list. I am no longer adding bands I dont know on this profile and keeping it to folks I deal with on a regular basis. Bands that are interested in talking to me about PiercingMetal.com should be aware that we will not add you if you dont contact us first to discuss possible review of their material, We're not out to advertise for you, so dont bother wasting time if you cant send a note. Sorry this sounds cruel but 2 dozen messages for adds and not one note made me hold to this principle.
Please dont take it personal if I deny you, thats essentially my standing on it and it means you did not read the above. This is more about networking than friends but it is still nice to see what is doing in other peoples world from time to time. I am also a big time comic books guy and I decided to filter through my boxes and sell off a lot. MySpacer's who collect are encouraged to email me for the Excel spreadsheet I keep. Reunions From The Past: Seriously, I am hardly interested in them. Yes I had a band when I was younger, but from those years so many "know" you but dont really "know you". There are some old High School and College associations that I wouldnt mind revisiting but if your only memory of me is hanging out and drinking beers or listening to Metal wherever the bands used to convene because we had mutual secondary and third extended friends, I probably could care less.Thats me for now, in a nutshell.
