About Me

It was at the age of ten that I first began the basics of Classical Singing with my piano teacher Kim Salico-Deihl, a talented musician who was also adept in the art of vocal coaching. At thirteen, with hardly any vibrato or range (but a strong interest in musical theatre) I began trying to sing Opera by giving my all to do cute little Arias such as "Caro Mio Ben" and "Nel Cor Piu Mon Mi Sento." A year later I began to study with Cherie Danielle-Limos who taught me how to project my voice and increase its power. I found this an incredible sense of timing for I was now incredibley influenced by the female-fronted Metal bands like Nightwish and Within Temptation. Ms. Limos also exposed my musical world to a wonderful amount of Classical vocal literature. At present I am studying with Jenny Hayden in order to continue my goal to follow those whom I admire.I have an eclectic sense when it comes to musical genres and I am inspired by Metal, Opera, Classical, Folk, Celtic and so much more. It is only natural that as result of this I am eager to learn and have my voice capable of numerous different styles. At present I am only professionally trained in classical voice but on my own I teach myself any style that piques my interest and have been known to combine them on occasion. I am finding it difficult to classify my own vocal style at this point in life but while I am positive on it being Soprano, it could either be a Coluratura, Lyric or a little of each.I am probably interested (as time allows ) in collaborating on interesting and beneficial projects across a number of genre specifications. If you are a composer or musician who is working on material that needs a voice like my own I am interested in speaking to you. Rates for work and availability are based on the demands of the project work. Feel free to contact me via MySpace with your full contact email information and I will write back to you.Above are two parts of a video of me and a fantastic accompanist, Elyse Finkel, performing "A Distance There Is..." by Theatre of Tragedy. Please don't complain about the video being off sync. I wish there was something I could do.
