Solo Review - 14th June 2006 - Railway Inn
"Opening the gig was a young man who before going onstage looked shy and uneasy. His name being Alex J Dunne was the only fact I knew about him. Dunne then goes on to produce one of the most promising sets of the night. His most striking feature musically is his voice which can portray emotion and pain in the style of Jeff Buckley having a duet with Kurt Cobain. The stage presence of Dunne goes hand in hand with his vocals, he is comfortable and assured. He makes you wonder of what potential could be unlocked if he was to employ a full band who could add layers to his music. He is one of a dying breed of guitarist though who appreciates that they can alter the mood of their music through the tone of their picking" (Louis Adamou - Ceasura)
