I am not going to bore you with babble so here it is in point form :)
* I have always had a passion for original music.
* during my teenage years I wrote a music article in a local newspaper about music. featured articles on Bon-Jovi, the Beatles, Madonna, Boy George etc (yes the 80's)
* moved to Newcastle in the early 90's
* worked in retail for years before doing the Music Industry Skills Course @ TAFE
* since landing in Newcastle made friends with bands and people in the Music Industry.
* Started working at EAO Entertainment www.eao.com.au doing work experience. I started doing odd jobs, promotions, receptionist duties and after 12 months became a booking agent.
* My main passion being original music has given me the chance to organise band competions, showcase nights, youth gigs, outdoor events, community events, workshops, teaching. Venues that I have worked with or still do; include SJ's Hotel, Bar 121, Newcastle PCYC, Port Stephens PCYC, Windale PCYC, Cessnock PCYC, Palais Royale, Newcastle Panthers, Cambridge Hotel, Newcastle Leagues Club- The Bandroom, Surf City, Mayfield Hotel, Newcastle University, Great Northern Hotel, The Beachcomber Hotel, Crown & Anchor plus many more..... Some of the events/projects I have worked with or currently still do, include; The Shootout Film Festival- Music Library, Xpozay The Band Comp, Groovin The Moo (Gloucetor '05 & Narrandera '05) and The J & Jam Factory to name a few..
