Band Members: Me... DOTCOM (Barry)
Influences: Band? Nah just a DJ! Growing up I listened to a lot of metal/punk everything from Megadeth to The Misfits. Until one day Anthrax did a track with Public Enemy on a crossover that led me to the world of WestCoast Rap/EastCoast HipHop… By the age of 16 I was also a qualified teacher of woodwind instruments playing solo and with Classical/Jazz bands… I also can play most instruments at a basic level. Mmmm the diminished fifth, lol! I put down my Saxophone to become a DJ playing Dance music but mainly Rnb/HipHop. Over the years I left to follow my career in I.T. (easy cash) but was still highly involved in the RnB/HipHop scene running many nightclubs/concerts/underage parties, mostly sitting in a dark corner as an unknown partner. As time has passed my passion to get back into music production has exploded, with most of my DJ friends running studios, getting involved in beat production and supporting the local Australian music scene, it’s time to spread the word of a real underground subculture, all that is dead! Some harmonies that HorrorPunk bands drop put RnB singers of today to shame! Ask a RnB kid today, hey you know doowop... DooWhat? I still have vivid memories of Kim Nekroman doing a solo on his coffin bass that shook my soul. I have seen many a talented bass player (rock and classical) but OMG! Most Metal/Punk DJs are a human juke box! I shall be releasing stuff from different genres, from a mix to production. The genre list has expanded but my love for The Misfits has never left, although I would prefer to be kicking it with my grandfather rock’n’out to the golden olden Swing/RocknRoll. So now im back at it, producing/promoting whatever makes me smile! =DLife story over... Also love Ancient Babylon, JDM turbo cars, Skating and MMA! Peace
