Like many djs, the beginning always starts from the passion for the music and working at the local house parties. Eventually, the need to further the dj career moves on to working at the clubs. Kay z’s path is no different, beginning around 1997 with the house parties and few local residencies at teenage clubs (underage parties), then migrating in to the clubs around 2000. As one of the “fresher†djs in the urban scene in Australia. Kay-z brings a unique style that differs from many other djs locally. He’s of the only djs to play dancehall/ragga in his sets. There leaves some undiscovered talent that is yet to be seen internationally. But don’t take words for it, let his performance do that talking.Kay z has already established himself very well all over Australia, he has played at some major events and parties in Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide, Gold coast, Perth & his base Melbourne. Just back from his international tour where he djied in France, UK, Germany, Sweden and New Caledonia. Kay z has also supported some international and local artist at concerts and after parties, artist such as Naughty by Nature, Cypress Hill, Kurupt, Luniz, Tech9, Dj Green Lantern, Fatman scoop, Busta rhymes. He has also supported some local artist. To name few, 1200 techniques, Hill top hoods, J-wess, Ken hell & weapon X, Justice and kaos, Phinesse, The 6 Aces...More of a “people’s djâ€, Kay z’s style is guaranteed to get the crowd moving.“My style is a mixture of funky rnb, hip hop and dancehall. I am really a crowd dj, I like to read the crowd and play what they like, so I sound different from set to set and venue to venueâ€
