About Me

Rhonda Rainbow
I'm living in St. Bernard Parish, in Louisiana. THE THIRD WORLD, USA
I'm an old hippie...I love Lenny Bruce, but disagree with him when he says "There's nothing more pathetic than an aging hipster", because, well, I had the courage to live...he didn't.I think THAT'S pretty pathetic.

I'M SICK TO DEATH ABOUT BEING POLITICALLY CORRECT. POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IS A COP-OUT. WHAT YOU SAY TO ME DOESN'T MAKE OR BREAK ME. WHAT YOU DO TO ME DOES. SO BRING ON THE "BOUDREAUX AND THIBODAUX JOKES, THEY'RE FUNNY, CHER! CALL ME A COON ASS, CALL ME A FLIP, I DON'T GIVE A SHIT WHAT THE ORIGINS OF THE TERMS ARE...THIS CAJUN IS A COON ASS; AND A FLIP (Forefathers Lived In Philippines...how's that for an acronym???).
I am passionate about many things, such as individual rights, freedom of speech and religion, NON-PARTISAN INTERPRETATION OF THE CONSTITUTION (It's in English. It's easy to understand. What the hell's the problem? Why do people constantly "re-interpret" the constitution? Don't they speak the same language it was written in??? Freedom to laugh at a joke because it's funny, without worrying about who the hell is offended; (keep in mind, JOKES INSPIRED BY HATRED ARE NOT FUNNY. PERIOD). RESPECT for all people, RESPECT FOR MOTHER NATURE, FOR MOTHER EARTH; ethnic diversity, Native American issues, THE POWER OF ONE.
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" Edmund Burke

I realized today that I haven't lost my home, just my address. Home is wherever I plant my feet and feed my soul. And that's where I am, right now. I'm here because I choose to be. I love New Orleans, and St. Bernard Parish, and I'm not ready to give up on either one of them.
Peace is not a relationship of nations. It is a condition of mind brought about by a serenity of soul. Peace is not merely the absence of war. It is also a state of mind. Lasting peace can come only to peaceful people. ~Jawaharlal Nehru (1889 - 1964) Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor

My maiden name is RICHOUX, a French name given to a tribe of Germanic people who fled from the north and settled in France. The origin of the name:
RICHOUX French (Berry and Loiret): from the Germanic personal name Ricwulf, a compound of ric ‘power(ful)’ + wulf ‘wolf’. I also had a great-grandmother named Olivia Loupe. Loupe is a French name meaning "Wolf". No wonder I feel a kinship with wolves...

I enjoy reading a good book, watching a good movie, having a good conversation with just about anyone. I enjoy dancing with Eddie, the Jazz Festival, walking around the French Quarter.

All American yet funky, you inspire an artist's imagination

OUR FOUNDING FATHERS

You Are a Prophet Soul
You are a gentle soul, with good intentions toward everyone.
Selfless and kind, you have great faith in people.
Sometimes this faith can lead to disappoinment in the long run.
No matter what, you deal with everything in a calm and balanced way.

You are a good interpreter, very sensitive, intuitive, caring, and gentle.
Concerned about the world, you are good at predicting people's feelings.
A seeker of wisdom, you are a life long learner looking for purpose and meaning.
You are a great thinker and communicator, but not necessarily a doer.

Souls you are most compatible with: Bright Star Soul and Dreaming Soul What Kind of Soul Are You?

I'd like to meet:

I can't wait to meet my new grandbaby, Karlie Jo ~ Jesus, face to face. Eve, to tell her she really messed things up for the rest of us; Adam, to ask him what kind of man listens to a woman instead of GOD. Whoever is in charge of FEMA, to stick this travel trailer up his....okay, I won't do that. But I'd like to.

I'd like to meet the Native American chiefs who fought the great battles, spoke eloquently for their people, gave their blood and breath to save them from extinction. The shameful disregard for our indiginous peoples in America is a continuation of the broken promises and systematic genocide perpetrated against them since the first invasion of the continent. If we can have a holiday for dead presidents, I think we should have a holiday for those noble chiefs. They, more than presidents, live on in their people. As they say, "In the spirit of Crazy Horse" ~ Rhonda
If you want to know about American History....

ask an Indian.

ABOUT MY TOP 16 FRIENDS: I HAVE FAMILY AND FRIENDS, BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN SEPARATED BY HURRICANE KATRINA...Everybody else, I have there because I like their art, writing, music, their cause, or their outlook on life, and would like other people to give their profile a "click". I will be switching them around from time to time because there are so many interesting/talented people I'd like to share with you. SO, if you're not in my top friends, don't be offended! I still love ya! ~ Rhonda P.s.: Please disregard comments made by my sister, DARLA. She is mentally unstable. (Actually, she is the "giggle in my souL", constantly makes me laugh!)

Silence, they say, is the voice of complicity. But silence is impossible. Silence screams. Silence is a message, just as doing nothing is an act. Let who you are ring out & resonate in every word & every deed. Yes, become who you are. There's no sidestepping your own being or your own responsibility. What you do is who you are. You are your own comeuppance. You become your own message. You are the message. In the Spirit of Crazy Horse-Leonard Peltier
And I feel like a stranger In the land where I was born And I live just like an outlaw. An' I'm always on the run
