About Me

Hi I'm Jamie, I live in Fuerteventura one of the Canary Islands although I am originaly from Scotland, together with my wife Ellen we run an interior design and furnishings buisness( www.homeagedesign.com ) I was a musician for many years back in the UK playing with loads of different groups and artists from all over the uk and europe involving live work, studio sessions and extensive touring; the last band I was with in uk was cult celtic rock band Coinneach. I still play around the island with various jazz orientated groups but also am part of a weekly rock show in one of the main tourist areas covering rock from the 60's to the 90's, great fun! My Interests

Music, film , reading, design, sport especially football(soccer), design, architecture, relaxing with Ellen and walking my 2 dogs Rosie and Hamish.

leonardo da vinci, the pope, the dalai lama, wynton marsalis and marcus miller.

Music:

Jazz in all forms is my passion especially Miles Davis,Wynton Marsalis, Charlie Mingus and Marcus Miller; although I do have a fairly universal music collection. Funk, soul, blues, gospel and most anything else you can think of. Duke Ellington said there are only 2 types of music, good and bad! I think he was right but even bad music is better than no music.
