Who Is Pow Shadowz? Pow Shadowz is Nashville's best kept Hip Hop secret and a true veteran of rhyming. Having opened up for artists like Common, KRS 1 and Immortal Technique, he is no new jack! His music is conscious but fun and reflects his street knowledge as well as his college education. Pow "Universal Powah" Shadowz has seen it all and is a very well-rounded individual. As a victim of police brutality, he is very politically aware and this comes across in his music. Even through that kind of adversity, Pow has been able to maintain a positive outlook on life. He describes his music as progressive and universal, promoting having a good time while encouraging awareness on multiple levels. He has relocated to Los Angeles to continue to expand his Hip Hop career. Since moving he has teamed up with longtime L.A. area crew The Metamorphs and formed The Extended Fam. Together they have performed at the popular Coachella Music Festival and with world-renowned groups such as Cypress Hill.
