Acoustic guitars,way of the future!

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace) Ross Hunter and Owen Larkins, The Express, have been writing and performing their own brand of acoustic guitar music since they met when studying music at Southbank TAFE in Brisbane Queensland in 2002. Their name The Express originated from the Nambour Express the train from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast on which they often travelled to and from TAFE and on which they entertained their fellow passengers with some of the early songs they wrote at TAFE such as Unused Parts and A Piece of Mind. Owen Larkins was born in Queensland in 1984 but spent most of his early years in Western Australia and returned to Queensland for several years while in high school. Owen began his music career in Western Australia but came back to Queensland to further his studies and in doing so met Ross. Owen also spent some time in Townsville in 2003 where he had regular solo gigs. Ross Hunter was born in Scotland in 1984 and spent two years in the United States before emigrating to Victoria Australia with his family in 1990.He moved to Queensland in 2001 and was accepted into the course in which he met Owen in 2002. Ross returned to his country of birth for six months in 2004 where he played solo and with members of his extended family regularly in Glasgow. Since the beginning of 2006, Ross and Owen have written a number of new songs, in 2007 Ross and owen for a large part of the year Recorded there first professional cd at pix Records in conondale
