About Me

Before working at MTV , Aliya-Jasmine Sovani was a television producer for MuchMusic (MuchOnDemand; MuchNews), as well as the Tour Correspondent for MuchMusic's VJ Search, a reporter for a national Men's magazine, and a host/field producer for BPM TV (digital music channel). A former arts student, AJ has studied and lived all over the world (including Italy, LA, New York and the remote town of Perce, Quebec). The hockey fan is true to her roots "I'm an Ottawa Senators fan!", and says she owes her existence to rock'n roll "My parents fell in love at a Kiss concert". The song that describes AJ in a nutshell: "Nothing but a good time" by Poison.

Mostly older stuff like Run DMC and early Snoop (see above) but I also love Ludacris, Jay Z, Beastie Boys, and some Beyonce and Neptunes stuff. I met Ciara and she was SOO sweet and totally won me over.
