A zombie. No, not just one, a horde of them. I patiently await the zombie outbreak. I am prepared. I may or may not also want to hump them. I'd like to meet the male equivalent of myself. I'd like to meet someone who makes me say "woah, you're twisted!". I'd like to meet Rozz Williams, but he's dead... *pout* 1334 forever. But mainly, yes, zombies. *zombie love!*
I love 80s Gothic rock/Industrial: Bauhaus, Christian Death, Alien Sex Fiend, Sex Gang Children, Specimen, Spahn Ranch, Sisters of Mercy, Siouxie, The Marionettes, Two Witches, Fields of the Nephilim, Virgin Prunes, Creaming Jesus, Rosetta Stone. As previously mentioned, I love showtunes. Favourites include songs from: Cabaret, Chicago, Cats, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Annie, all the Disney classics - especially Beauty and the Beast. Phantom of the Opera, South Pacific, etc. I adore jazz/blues/swing/scat: Al Jolson and Cab Calloway are particular favourites. Genuis individuals: Rozz Williams, Brian Molko, Bowie, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Ian Curtis, Tom Waits, Peter Murphy, Jewel. And of course, the bands they fronted... ahem. Individual songs that I love for some reason: I worry about you - Ivy, I love to Singa - Al Cab, Is you is or is you ain't my babe - Cab, Computer Camp Love - Datarock, Cornflake Girl - Tori Amos, White Riot - Clash, Spiderman - Ramones, the Mighty Mouse theme, That's Why the Lady is a Tramp - Buddy Greco, Galvanize - Chemical Brothers, some awesome hindi song I downloaded called Chand Sitare, Steeler's Wheel - Stuck in the Middle with You. And then there's my occasional punk indulgence: Pixies, Clash, Ramones, Sex Pistols, Gangreen, Stalag 13, Agnostic Front, Misfits. *phew* Okay, I'm not done, but I'll leave it there, yeah? You deserve a cigarette.
Naturally, zombie movies. Anything b-grade. Low-to-no budget horror films. Romero, Fulci, Hooper, Browning. I also love foreign/arthouse films. Eg: City of Lost Children, Delicatessen, Amelie - Jeunet is my favourite director. Jan Svankmeyer is also one of my favourites - Alice, Darkness Light Darkness, etc. Tim Burton - Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Nightmare Before Christmas. Monty Python. Monique. Heaven. Mifune. All About My Mother. Cronos. Volere Volare. I love Stanley Kubrick films. I love films that I can analyse. I love films that allow me to sit back and indulge in my sick fantasies. Evil Dead trilogy. Nekromantik. Thirteen Conversations about One Thing. Disney Movies.
This section will be short as I rarely watch television. If I do, it's nature documentaries. I like to watch beetles root. Yeah, my former housemate Diamond and I used to watch beetles sexing doco's, the biggest loser (which she called 'My Big Fat Loser') and CSI. That's about it really. Oh, and Iron Chef, CNNNN and Little Brittain.
Woah - okay. I studied literature at uni before I decided to change my life direction -again-!!! But yeah, ever since I was a child I've always been a bookworm, for lack of a better word. Mainly classics: Poe, Shelley, Byron, R.L Stevenson, Stoker, the Bronte sisters, Austen, Dostoevsky, Defoe, Tolstoy, Blake, Milton, Virgil, Dante, Cervantes, Dickens, Sacher-Masoch, de Sade, so many more, but I'm getting bored of typing at a screen. Oh! and I read a lot of philosophy: Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Espinoza, Descartes, etc.
George. A. Romero. Rozz Williams. My father. Hmm who else... oh, there was this one guy I saw downtown, and he was working on growing a mullet, and he let me touch and admire it, and I told him
