About Me

Double bass playing hill dwelling musical semi-nomad fond of fun times and pleasant people. Have dog, car, trailer, and travel to fields and festivals for musical mayhem etc.. Currently in possession of a big beard. Often to be seen wearing a hat, sometimes different hats. Found round fires and in tents and sometimes buildings.

My Interests

Music!! playing and listening. Walking in't hills wi't dog, Going to festivals, Travelling, Mountain biking, Alternative energy, and low-impact lifestyles. Camping on remote beaches, Making things, music, sitting in the sun, sitting round campfires, staying up all night working on some project I'm fired up for, Laughing until I ache. Guerilla Art, etc....

Music:

I listen to - Cantrip, Hedningana, oi va voi, hoven droven, Baghdaddies, and many more. I've been playing and listening to rock and pop music for years, and have grown increasingly towards folk and traditional music, There's a healthy scene round here that involves festivals and gigs and parties often where there's no sound systems, relying on totally acoustic instruments. So much more fun than the commercial festivals. I do like wierd stuff - and there's lots to be found,

Television:

TV is sometimes interesting, often boring. The Mighty Boosh, Family Guy, Dr Who are all very entertaining. Travel and nature programmes are also good. Soaps and game shows are pants.

Books:

I like reading, I've not bought any new books for ages and I'm getting bored with the contents of my bookshelf so feel free to send me some new reading matter.

Heroes:

Heroes are - Fred Dibnah, Homer Simpson, John Entwhistle, John Peel, Bert Munro, the man in the moon, cheese on toast, whoever thought up beer, My garlic press, Corkscrews, Inspired people that don't let go of their dreams. Everyone that does what they believe is right, as long as they're not too crazy..

Fun with cars continued..

Every now and then I've thought that maybe I should give the volvo a stay of execution, but then it reminds me why I've challenged myself to have a £500 car for a while and prove it's better. I've had...
