Tulsa City Soul is the place for the twenty-to-thirty and forty-somethings to come chill, enjoy a cocktail, and hear some of the most passionate poems, spoken word pieces, and original music in the 918.Tulsa City Soul is on hiatus. Raven, Dru, and Kema would very much like to have the event again, however, we need A LOT of willing poets, performers, and most importantly, we need people to come support the event. Tulsa City Soul helped bring out some amazing talent in Tulsa, and it is a shame that venue is not currently available. We thank you for everything, and if you want TCS back, just let us know. More than an Athlete by Etan Thomas. Etan is from Tulsa and he's also the center for the Washington Wizards. He wrote a book of poetry with a CD, and its really good.
