"As with everything, NYC needs its women, and there are plenty of amazing ladies in the house. New on the scene is Mod Rocket, a straight up alternative rock group of smart, teenage true blue ladies who formed the band when they were in junior high school. Alex, the guitarist and youngest member, recently won the Lower East Side guitar competition hosted by the bar Max Fish. The 16-year-old blew the crowd away with her skills and spirit."
