Contemporary guitarist, songwriter and producer Stelios K. developed an interest in music at an early age when he started playing guitar at the age of six. Born and raised in Cyprus, his first professional experience came when he was thirteen, playing music at Greek weddings. In 1991, he moved to England to study Engineering, but his passion for music proved much stronger. He relocated to America where he attended Musicians Institute (GIT) in Los Angeles. He then moved back to England to continue his music education at the London College of Music, graduating with First Class Honours in Music Performance. Inspired by the likes of Larry Carlton, Steve Lukather, Lee Ritenour, George Benson, Charlie Parker, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Prince and renowned session guitarist Paul Jackson Jr, his playing style is deep rooted in his long lasting influences of Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, Blues and Rock. His heavy pocket groovin, firmly set into the deeper funk elements of the 70s, is reminiscent of legendary rhythm guitarist and producer Nile Rodgers.Based in London, Stelios K. has worked, performed and toured with a host of artists such as Jason Donovan, Jeffrey Daniel (Shalamar), Heatwave, Jocelyn Brown, X-Factor Live Arena Tour, Rose Royce, Julia Fordham, Junior Giscombe, Angie Brown, Kenny Thomas, Adeva, China Black, Steve Brookstein, Journey South, Nayo, Daniel Ryan, Chris Singleton and Placid Groove.His self-titled release You Are The One is featured on the Jazz FM Records compilation album Driftin, appearing alongside such soul and smooth jazz greats as Aaron Neville, Patti Austin, Dave Koz, Jeff Lorber and Rick Braun.
