MANUELA Panizzo

Emanuela Panizzo sometimes known as Manuela, she is sweet, sour and sassy! Manuela has a skill in crafting a song with a sweet hook and a sharp lyrical twist. Her compositions are often tales of her experiences told in a quirky style à la Prince, bringing together a wide range of her influences (Monk, Metheny, Chaka Khan & Joni Mitchell) and delivered with her cheeky grin! A multi instrumentalist and versatile vocalist she is equally in her element performing jazz standards such as Chick Corea's Spain, belting out Chaka style vocals on a up-tempo dance track, or kicking some Donny Hathaway soul. Featured Artist & Songwriter, 2005 was a great year for Manuela, culminating in the release of "Cant fake it" featuring her as songwriter and vocalist. The track chart no.3 on the Musicweek club chart (remixed by Kenny Hayes). The latest in an ongoing gospel house project with leading European producers Andrea T Mendoza and Steven Tibet is "Put Your Hands UP" Disco Heaven 2007 (Hed Kandi). Gianluca Mosole featured Manuela performing her original "one thought away" on his latest album by the title of "no title (check gianlucamosole.com.) A limited edition DVD (350k units) with a video of "one though away" and additional footage of Manuela performing "Man o' my dreams" live is being released on the dvd "Padre Pio Project" through BMG. Her compositions feature alongside tracks with Gino Vannelli, Peter Erskine, Shelia E & Patti Austin. 2006 has brought continued sucess for Manuela as a songwriter with Sony artist Lee Ryan (formerly of Blue). "Che viso avrai" which she co-wrote is featured on the Italian edition album of Lee..s album Lee Ryan . Manuela was brought up in Venice, Italy. Here she developed as a songwriter, musician and vocalist fronting various jazz and soul projects from the age of 14. In ..89 Gianluca Mosole featured Manuela Panizzo on his fusion album "Open Streets". Manuelas move to London led her to a new level of success. She was featured on "Baby u bring me up" by Y Tribe (Deconstruction), received international club and radio airplay, and was remixed by the Artful Dodger, licensed globally distributed compilations (Ministry of Sound, Aiya Nappa..). Soon afterwards she signed a publishing deal with Sony & a record deal with Gut Records for "Mad about the DJ". She wrote and recorded the track "my night" of Public dj feat. Emanuelle. She has also worked with Dj Disciple and co-produced with the Bacci Brothers for Rossiterroad including "I can see thru U" and "Get Better". Featured on Xan Blacq's new album on the track "with you".
