I'm a guy with a passion for science, environment and music. I value relationships and creative energy more than money and possessions. Life is for living.
Joined the school concert band when I was 8. Started my first rock band at 14. Studied Biology, then Chemistry and Environmental Science at Uni. Worked in sustainable industry and multimedia type roles. Toured around Australia in bands. Built a strawbale house. Taught myself photography.
Now studying for a masters in Green Chemistry. Learning Mandarin, Cantonese and martial arts in Tai Chi. Still playing in bands. I procrastinate a lot, always have. In primary school my report card would read "he's very smart and capable, if only he learned to apply himself". Yes. If only.
Still want to travel the world (more) and get back into theatre one day. I'll find time to do it right after I've saved the world with science, and conquered the world with rock and roll.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I always wanted to meet Steve Harris from Iron Maiden and say "you were my teenage idol hero guy & thanks for teaching me how to play the bass", but then I did. He was cool.

Music:

I play bass for Kinematic

I also play bass and sing for The Doctors of Northcote

I like indie bands. If you can get up and play a tune or two then I'll listen and even applaud when you're done. Unless, of course, you suck.

Television:

Television just seems to go from bad to worse. Why do I feel like I get dumber if I watch it?

Books:

A ridiculously large collection of war books, my fave stuff is memoir type stories of the RAF published in the 1940-60's. Chocks away Biggles!

Heroes:

Captain Paul Watson of the Sea Shepard Society, for his no nonsense approach to environmental crime on the high seas...hunt the bastards down and sink em.
