Dirty Face Kids

It ain't easy

About Me

Following the immediate click of Band Members Dave Sull, Dave Kav, P.O and Aidan with regard to song writing and influences, Dirty Face Kids set about recording their first E.P. As a result, songs like “Still Stands a Tree”, possessing seamless clean to heavy guitar progressions and catchy infectious riffs that immediately claw the listener in, were born. What started as a handful soon emerged into a collection of foot-stomping rock songs and surreal anthems filled with harmony and energy. With influences ranging from Metallica, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin, Radiohead, Creed and the great Jeff Buckley, the band have a diverse taste in music which in turn makes their sound interesting, but easily accessible. With an unshakable dedication to the cause, these guys have optimism and drive and now feel that it would be something special to get their sound to a wider audience. “Not a Ghost of a Chance” is currently receiving extensive airplay on X-FM, Corks Red FM and Campus Radio stations around the country, and as a result the bands profile has been raised considerably over the last few months. Some recent gigs include: the Granary, Killarney sharing the stage with Hotpress favourites Delorentos, where D.F.K are said said to have “received the best crowd response of the entire Murphys Live 2007 competition”, and the Killarney Summerfest supporting Director and Pink. Most recently Dirty Face Kids have recorded their first appearance for TV taking part in the TG4 rock show “Deis Rock” The episode can be seen by the viewing public on 26th of February 2008.
