Drift Nuts: All up in yo mouf!

About Me

I'm an easy going guy who doesn't worry about much which makes me somewhat of an optimist. Probably one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet unless you catch me at a drift event I am helping to organize and you do something unsafe. Obviously, I'm a drift event organizer for dailydrifter.com and former pro drifter from the Formula Drift series as of the end of the 2006 season.

My Interests

Competition driving that includes Solo, track days, and drifting. I occasionally enjoy wrenching on cars but you have to catch me in the right mood. I'd much prefer to drive. I also enjoy FPS LAN gaming occasionally.

I'd like to meet:

I've already met the people I'd like to meet. Think about this: If you waited all your life to meet a certain person and they turn out to be a jerk wouldn't that disappoint you? Now how many times have you met someone new and gotten along famously and said to yourself 'I'm glad I know this person'. Did you know ahead of time that you would like to meet this person? Of course not. I've already met the people I'd like to meet.

Music:

Mostly 80's and 90's and sometimes even oldies. Not a big fan of what's out there today.

Movies:

I'm a sucker for silliness which is why I'm a fan of Mel Brooks and Monty Python stuff. I'm not a big movie watcher but action and comedy will keep my attention for a couple hours.

Television:

I usually have the tv on while I do something else so I'll catch stuff every now and then. Mostly watch Cartoon Network, History Channel, Discovery and Speedvision. More specifically, Family Guy, Futurama, American Chopper and most any kind of racing with left AND right turns.

Books:

DRIFTING. by Antonio Alvendia of Cipher Garage. The First Official Book of Drifting in America!

Satisfying end to the season in Irwindale

Well another season has come to an end and I must say that even though I never made it into the top 16 this year I am entirely pleased with the way the whole season turned out. The level of competitio...

Late update for Seattle

Well not much to write about this event. To make a long story short, I didn't make it to main day for the first time since my first event in Atlanta. This time, though, it wasn't due to a lack of conf...

Chicago: Getting better.

After having had a bit of practice under my belt Chicago turned out better but not quite up to my satisfaction. Friday unseeded practice started out with a bang, literally. I had a bit of trouble...

Atlanta a bust

So, I'm sitting here on the tarmac at the Beaumont airport after the flight I'm on runs out of fuel after being in a holding pattern due to bad weather when I decide to pop out the old laptop and...

So much for retirement

Well, it's been a while since my last post but the purpose of this blog was to keep updates on how my Formula D season was going. Since I haven't been driving I didnt see a need to make any entries bu...

Retirement from competition

Well folks, after careful consideration and many days and nights of going back and forth on the matter I have decided not to campaign my AE86 in the 2006 Formula D season. The costs of traveling, buyi...

Awesome FD weekend in Chicago

This was the first FD event that I got to get a decent night's sleep before Friday qualifying. We got there, unloaded and prepped the car. Unfortuantely, I didnt have tires so I ended up using the sam...
