Joon Woo Maeng was born in Seoul, Korea and moved to the United States at the age of nine. His passion for speed and cars began in the earlier stages of his childhood. Since then, he has remained loyal to his passion through drifting. As a matter of fact, Joon Woo's favorite moments are when he is on the tracks honing his drifting skills. In addition, serving as a good example to fellow neighbors is important to Joon Woo as well as having a positive attitude and sharing words of encouragement. Giving, sharing, and living in hope not only provides a sense of fortitude, but also keeps Joon Woo grounded. Also, maintaining friendships as well as creating new ones and lending a helping hand are his lifestyle. With an unquestionable dedication to the sport, Joon Woo has proven himself a worthy competitor. His attitude and exemplifiable work-ethics have won over the hearts of both fans and fellow competitors. Aside from drifting, Joon Woo manages Daily Udon & Sushi Restaurant, tutors english, volunteers as a youth-group teacher for InJoy Ministry, and builds drift cars. Joon Woo desires and is determined to work as a team and will do his best to underscore the reputation of his sponsors' name and integrity.
