MUSIC
Dr. Motte ’s isn’t a specific style.
It’s a feeling – a feeling of 03 :30h at night in a berlin club.
This makes him timeless and legendary. Intuitivly he connects forceful Club-Grooves with sophisticated Techno, he opens musical underground to the public, to a large audience. His upliftig sets are riddled with atmospheric, progressive moments. Within twirled, cheerful, playful.
This is the sound of Dr. Motte .
The same fits for his longstanding releases, which covers Club-Classics to Chart-Hits. Tracks like ‘Klang der Familie’ von 3Phase feat. Dr. Motte or ‚Sunshine’ von Dr. Motte & Westbam makes him immortal for the electronic music-scene, the same as for the common run of mankind.
Space-Teddy became a cult-status by him, today he works on his own recent label Praxxiz .
MILESTONES
It’s 1989. The british music-scene declares the ‘Summer of Love’, Raves and Acid-House are hot themes in current music-magazins. In these times, Motte already lived for 7 years on his music and he oparated with some pals the club ‘Turbine Rosenheim’, a legendary underground location in Berlin. By that he became one of the founders of the electronical music-scene in germany. Inspired by the british movement, Motte organizes and originates a demonstration for ‘portrayal of contemporary dance music culture in terms of a parade’, which will get famosity worldwide by the name ‘Loveparade’. And with it, of course his originator, Dr. Motte .
The stream of history and continuity of the story is well-known. DJ Dr. Motte became a global player, he plays in tiny underground clubs, but also at the biggest festivals and events throughout the world. Beyond this, he is engaged as a speaking tube of a pacific youth movement and he establishes his self as an ambassador for electronical music-scene. Down to the present day he is on his musical mission worldwide.
MOTIVATION
As a DJ Dr. Motte experiences music as a global speech, as an instrument of communication between people of most various roots. This peacemaking base clearly recognizables its social potencial. A statement, which is eminently lived by the electronical music scene. It’s Dr. Motte ’s stated aim, to focus the people on music and its positive effects, which in deed facilitate intimate correlations for human collectives.
This idea is his leitmotiv (key note) and this implements Dr. Motte ’s creative output.
