eclectic music for acoustic people -now on i-tunes

About Me

after playing at college with damon albarn & graham coxon (later of Blur) james hibbins went on to front twisted blues-rock band nexus. collecting a fabulously versatile bass player, nick anderson, from the experience he formed acoustic outfit pavlov's cat as a vehicle for his highly melodic, dark songs with eclectic influences from english folk to 70's troubadours, world & jazz.
the first incarnation of the band featured bodhran player ken holland & ex blyth power keyboard virtuoso darren tansley (now of grunge-funksters jack's family).
now usually a duo & ocassionally a trio with drummer jim read, pavlov's cat have released 3 albums on AcoustiCity (although the first is now almost impossible to find) & have been described thus:
'Pavlov's Cat play well, sing well & write very good songs. Highly recommended!' Clive Gregson - singer-songwriter
"....an interesting mix of traditional & original songs...I really like it" Mike Harding BBC Radio 2, UK

"Determinedly acoustic....an eye on life's shadowy side" fRoots Magazine
