About Me

I'm Pete Nicol, this is mainly about me and my music. I currently play bass guitar for Perthshire "blues and beyond" band Wang Dang Delta and also for rock covers band The Mutleys. Over the last 20 years, Ive also handled the low end for various bands and singers up here in sunny Scotland, including in the last few years: Glebe Street, Northern Blues Express, glam rockers Ego Problem and my own Rock'n'Roll band Pete Harley and The Sportsters, as well as singer songwriters David Hood and Carol Newlands

I have played on recordings by most of the above, including bass and vocals on Glebe Street's "Duke Box" album and Wang Dang Delta's "Paper Boat" album.

My bass has taken me all over Scotland playing venues from small pubs to concert halls and festivals including: Celtic Connections, Orkney Blues Festival, Dundee Blues Bonanza, Gairloch SRAD Fest, Glenelg Drams in the Field, Skye Motorcycle Show, Perthshire Amber, The Scribblers Picnic,(Stirling) and plenty more.

After studying at Perth College, I graduated in 2003 with a BA in Music Performance.I now work as a Community Link Worker for Perth and Kinross Council, providing pupil and family support to schools in the Blairgowrie and North Perth Areas.
Please feel free to send me a message, I love talking music and bass guitars, and hearing new music.

Cheers

Pete
