-Bio
---The Chris Era
Founded in December 2005 by Matt Parsons, Alex Logan, Alex Burdette ( Head Trauma ), and Chris Parsons. Matt Mezzatesta ( Shadows in Eden ) and Ryan Booth joined to fill out the ranks in early 2006. We played a couple shows with this lineup, when Chris left the band due to personal reasons. It is in general agreement that this is our weakest era, with Chris' poor timing throwing the band off.
---The Golden Era
After Chris left the band, Matt P. took over vocal duties. There were a number of shows we played in this time span, that many Sacro critics declare our best shows. Our highlight and peak performance was playing at the Masquerade with Prime Mover and From Exile.
---The Will Era
Will joining the band marked the end of the Golden Era of Sacrosanct. While Will is a fantastic drummer who is in every respect better than Burdette, he was out of practice and wasn't familiar with the songs. These factors seriously detracted from the shows in this era. Our best show, as well as last, from this era was played at the 7 Venue with Shadows in Eden and Halcyon Way. Following this show, interest in the band disintegrated as Will and Ryan pursued black metal and Mezzy and Logan pursued power metal. The band split apart, and we went our seperate ways.
If you enjoyed our melodic but heavy songs... check out Matt's solo project
If you liked our melodic and catchy songs... check out Arktide , Mezzy and Alex's new band.
If you like slow, melancholy eeriness, mystical grindage, epic fornicating symphonies, black metal, circus polka orgies, and Opeth... check out whatever Will and Ryan do later on.
It was fun. I want to thank all the venues ( Masquerade, Swayzes, Amanda's House, The Metal Barn, The 7 Venue, Langford S&S and The Booth Shop ), all the bands we played with ( Enders Game, Morionor, Eclipsed by Sanity, Shadows in Eden, Demitri, Samsara, Curse of Deformity, From Exile, Prime Mover, etc. ), and all the great people we met ( too many to count ). But most of all, I want to thank all the fans that came to our shows and got CDs of ours. You made this the greatest thing in my life.
