Swayze's
2543 Bells Ferry Rd. Suite 650
Marietta, GA 30066
From Atlanta: Take I-75 North to the Barrett Parkway / Kennesaw exit (exit 269). Turn right. Swayze's is 1/2 of a mile on the right - just past Quick Trip gas station and BB &T Bank (at the corner of Barrett Parkway and Bells Ferry Rd.)
If you get lost please call us at 770-590-0111.
No calls about booking please!
INFORMATION:
For over half a decade, Swayze's has been the "best of breed" (and now longest running) all-ages music venue in the Southeast United States.
Swayze's offers a safe place for kids of all-ages to enjoy original live music from various local and national touring acts.
Swayze's is not publicly funded by your tax dollars and represents no religion or political cause. In other words, Swayze's has no agenda, just shows.
We're not a bar. There's no alcohol or smoking allowed inside of Swayze's.
Swayze's is a private club. Swayze's reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. Swayze's, under the authority of the laws of the State of Georgia, has the right to ask whoever we wish to leave our property. Loitering on our property is strictly prohibited. If you come here to loiter, to fight, to drink, or to damage our property, please plan on us calling the police and pressing charges against you.
Swayze's does not permit live audio or video recording.
BOOKING:
No booking calls please.
Communicating with us through Myspace is the best way to get booked, but please read ALL the booking information below before writing. Thanks!
No hard media kits are required for booking (as it's 2008). Let your Myspace Music profile serve as your new media kit.
The booking contact for Swayze's is Lee Satterfield via this Myspace page -- www.myspace.com/swayzesvenue
We do not book private parties, disc jockeys, cover bands, bands that play covers, tribute bands, bar bands, mainstream alternative / hard rock / commercial metal bands or rap / R&B / hip-hop acts.
We try to answer booking messages in the order in which they are received, but due to an overwhelming volume of booking requests, there's no promise that every message will get a response. If we don't respond in what you consider a timely manner, then just write us again.
Our booking priorities are to our locals (those who live 45 minutes away from us or less) and to touring bands on full-blown tours (who give up their lives to be on the road).
Swayze's stays booked up in advance. So, if you're touring and writing about a show that's less than 2 months away, we probably won't be able to help.
It never hurts to ask, but we usually book all our shows up to capacity -- making it impossible for your band that got "screwed over" to "jump on" one of our shows. Maybe next time, book with us first.
Once a week, we TRY to post show openings for locals on our Myspace blog -- we TRY to. Sometimes, there's just no show openings to post. So, please keep your eyes peeled for those when they happen.
Band load-in is at 6:30 p.m. and sometimes earlier. Please check with us or your show's promoter if you have any questions.
Bands arriving late (that haven't contacted us prior or during load-in) are assumed not to be showing up for the show. After 7:00 p.m., or whenever door time is for your particular show, if you haven't called 770-590-0111 and talked to us, or made prior arrangements with us -- please don't plan on showing up to play.
Thanks for checking us out and for supporting Swayze's -- the longest running all-ages music venue in the Southeast!
