About Me

I started out as a DJ in Wolverhampton spinning odd mixes, stuff like . Hendrix -Kraftwerk -War -Zeppelin -Betty Davis -Rare Earth -The Edgar Broughton band -Herbie Hancock's Headhunters -R.Dean Taylor -Funkadelic - Black Sabbath. It was all about the individual song groove, not the band. I eventually formed a band myself WEIRD GIRLFRIEND with Tyla ( Dogs D'amour) we eventually split the band up, moved to London and put together BURNT OUT STARS with Paul Raven (Killing Joke). The next band was KITSCH a wild bundle of eyeliner hair frenzy and riffs. Once Kitsch fizzled out I got together with Nick Hall the ex guitarist from the Dogs D'amour and we created the monster that was THE END an eclectic blend of rock, funk and melancholic frenzy. The album GUSTO was released on Mad Moon Records which was our own label a spin off from Expression, Phil Manzanera's (Roxy Music) independent label. THE END did tours and supports with an odd collection of bands such as The Ramones, Status Quo, Manfred Manns Earthband, The Damned, Gaye Bykers on Acid, Keith Emerson, Dr & the Medics, Cockney Rebel. After a particularly strange tour of Germany THE END eventually did come to an end an so it was time to move on. The next band was Maximum raw groovers LUNASEED with Nick Hall-Matt Hammond-Idris D'angeli and Paul Monkcom. Evolution Superhighway was released on OPEN MIND RECORDINGS and the track Harmony was used in the B-Movie Gangster film HARDMEN. After LUNASEED had finished recording their album of underground grooves they split . I did my first solo Acoustic outing at Glastonbury festival which was recieved with mucho apprieciation and inspired me to write a whole heap of new songs. I've been testing them out on the London acoustic circuit and now I'm in the process of trying to record my first solo album LIFEJACKETS.
