If a man hasn't discovered something he will die for, he isn't fit to live- Martin Luther King

About Me

My heart surges wildly enough without any outside influence. What I need is a lullaby, and I have an abundance of them in my beloved. How often I have to calm my rebellious blood! You have never known anything so wildly fluctuating as this heart of mine. I coddle my heart like a sick child and give in to its every whim. But don't tell a soul. There are people who would condemn me for it. --Johann Wolfgang von Goeth

" / Get Your Own Voice Player ManageI'm the internationally travelled, liberal, open minded and multi cultural daughter of a retired Halliburton geologist that spent 5+ years living in Saudi Arabia..... My Irish dad taught me humility and gave me the famous Irish sense of humour. My Croatian/Jewish mom gave me my looks and raised me to believe I was a Jewish Goddess & that could have anything in my life if I worked bloody hard & just believed. Apparently, I am a talented writer. This I know because people that read my stuff say it's very moving and powerful & the signs keep on coming. Newsweek printed my letter about Princess Diana's death in 1997 and Marianne Pearl printed my letter in the back of her book,"A Mighty Heart" (which made me cry as Daniel Pearl was such an amazing journalist & Marianne is such a strong person). My destiny is to be a writer;I won my first competition when I was 11.I also wrote a poem about the bombings in Enniskillen (N. Ireland) as a teenager and made my English Lit teacher, Dr Joy Higginson, cry. My aims in life are to write a novel, (a light Lit pack novel like Brett Easton Ellis) sell a screenplay ot two... and write a very moving novel about the struggle in Northern Ireland that gets me the Nobel Peace prize in Literature and brings a change to the mind set of the hard liners in my beloved island. I also want to have a candlelit dinner on the beach with my secret shame, actor Andrew Mc Carthy, just once. I even watch his movies although they are, on average, crap. Basketball is also my one true love (closet sports fanatic). Oh, and I am a very unconventional female....I don't dream about having kids (= to me incredibly painful childbirth and a life of servitude) & I don't strive to be married (= to me an incredibly tedious arrangement whereby eventually one or both of you end up hating each other and finding every little habit incredibly annoying). Instead I derive my pleasures from writing, travel etc etc I adore men and I think a woman should taste the entire smorgasboard on offer; why settle for a blonde when you can have a brunette or a flame haired fella? I give Carpe Diem new meaning. Well, men are so irresistable aren't they? If I was allowed to live my life all over again, I'd also be a talented Brazilian waxer with a pechant for samba. And I'd be a millionaire with better taste than the Euro trash fodder in St Tropez. And I'd have a mojito every night before sun down and....

My Interests

Watching basketball. Yoga. Movies. The theatre. Live bands. Tying my shoe laces at pedestrian crossings so that the rush hour driver has a hissy fit. Wondering why you never see baby pigeons. Enjoying London with all the culture/entertainment it has to offer on a regular basis. Wondering if I should learn Hebrew as I am such a failure as a jew (read swine consumer and non attendee of local temple). My hobbies also include keeping my "bush" trimmed to within an inch of it's life (it's a jewish thing). I HATE the whole massive bush thing...makes me hurl- a landing strip is much prettier and allows for ventilation on hot summer days. Thank God for South American waxing professionals. I heart you. I used to ring door bells and run away when I was young & when I was six, I changed all the "Do not Disturb" signs in the Holiday Inn in Rome to "Clean my room" and waited for the maid to come round and burst into rooms with couples engaged in physical activity. But I've calmed down a lot now...

I'd like to meet:

Tom Ford so I can tell him he's the gay man I most want to....there was a picture of him in a restaurant in NYC eating a huge, juicy steak and I almost keeled over. I want to be a gay man. I'll put it on my wish list. Violently happy people that just light up the room when they walk in.It goes without saying that anyone Irish gets all my love instantly.I'm the irresponsible older adult you'd never introduce your kids to as I'd probably teach them bad words and take them gambling. Life's too short to be too serious. Laid back, non stressy people.Self deprecating and creative types.Love yoga. I love artists or those with a desk job that are secretly super creative. Although I never really wanted children and I am far too shrewd to get married, I totally love men and am 100% committed to any guy I love (never cheated on anyone!). I think that's my problem; I love ALL MEN & it's a bit like being in the other temple where I worship, a shoe store, I just can't decide...My other great love? Basketball. Oh. I'm also flippant, never take myself seriously and [can be] totally self absorbed (unless I am with my mates). Don't expect me to become a suburban housewife because it just ain't gonna happen. Would love to meet George Hamilton to discuss fake/bake solutions. And Clinton to discuss...his...uh...saxophone.Who I DON'T WANT TO MEET = bores with children that think I want to hear about their off spring. Smug marrieds that can't get their head round the fact that people might choose to be single as a life style choice. Racists. Homophobic thugs. And people that wash dishes in a bowl placed in a sink (plain irritating)- there's a sink...use it!!

Music:

From Nirvana/Foo Fighters/Hole right through to Madonna, Coldplay...The Killers. Radiohead. Scissor Sisters. U2....Oh, and there's a reason why they call Van Morrison "the Belfast Cowboy"...just remember that. ...also like The Sugarcubes/Bjork. From Motown to Lauren Hill. I like anything John Peel and Annie Nightingale played on the radio. They had taste. If it's irresistable, I'll listen to it. Maybe even dance to it.....

Books:

Anything by the beat generation writers, Stephen King and Canadian author Douglas Coupland - I had the honour to meet him in London and he's one of the sexiest gay men ever. I love you Douglas! Best Coupland quote (at a book reading): "Florida is California without the dreams". Also, adore "To kill a mocking bird" and "In cold blood" plus any quote by Dorothy Parker. When I'm slumming it, I like to read Lit. lite novels by Bret Easton Ellis & Candace Bushnell. My secret shame is "The National Enquirer". I always say I won't be tempted to read the rag, then I just can't help myself. I like reading peoples tombstones....best ever: Spike Milligan "I told you I was sick!".. width="425" height="350" ..

Heroes:

John Peel. Annie Nightingale. Marianne Pearl....my dad (has Parkinson's) and the long suffering Kermit the frog. George Hamilton and his perma-tan [George oozes Vegas chic]. Burt Reynolds because he's so self-deprecating. I have also a rather disturbing sexual fantasy involving Bill Clinton and Rudy Guiliani but I think that's one that should remain private. Don't you?
