These Solitary Ways!

About Me

Long is the trail of music ventures I have traveled, mixing different genres and different instrumentation. I started off as a frontman for a couple of bands right after high school. I then dedicated most of the 90's decade to drumming with various styles of bands, also exploring percussion and tribal beats. In 2003 I re-united with long standing friend and guitar player, Rick Roessler and the rythmn section composed of friends Jon Ritchart and Aaron Russell. Low Flying Moses played venues such as Canes, Jumping turtle, and Hard Rock Cafe. We also played with San Diego locals, The Stereotypes and Warped Tour vets, Dogmatic. In 2005, short lived, the band went their seperate ways. 2006, was a year to write new material and lyrics, do some studio time and look for a new band. I also work with a charity program dedicated to homeless teens called photo charity. I work as a music mentor with Jen Knight, Mike Rovatsos and Rachelle Danto. We have been recording some songs composed by the teens at Studio West in Rancho Bernardo. A cd was released to raise money and awareness on April 30th 06' at a benefit concert at Humphyres By The Bay. 2007 Fresh new musical awakenings, joining the band Sirens Of Shipwreck, to play bass, sing backup, compose and add some of my own material! When listening to the music of Sirens Of Shipwreck, one can hear three generations of Alt Rock influences stemming from 80's post punk heroes Joy Division and Killing Joke to mid nineties melodic sounds of Hum and Dinosaur Jr. to current bands like The Editors and Interpol! The singer, John's brooding deep voice, adds to the mystique behind what the lyrics may convey to one's own pysche! Upon finishing new songs, Sirens Of Shipwreck will start gigging in Southern California in November! Members of SOS and Mike Gross play Gibson, Marshal, Rickenbacker, Ampeg and Tama Drums!
