The Mike Officer Band (The M.O.B.) has recently emerged from the depths of Hollywood... fellow students at the Musician’s Institute who came together to form The M.O.B. in early 2007. Performing an eclectic mixure of Soul influenced groove with Indie sentiments, the sound is a tasty blend, somewhere in between Jeff Buckley, Soulive and Van Morrison.
A few humble accomplishments... Mike Officer was the winner of the 2007 San Diego Songwriter’s Guild Songwriting Contest and in September '07, the M.O.B. was the featured performer at the Musician's Institute Graduation Ceremony. In January of '08 the band toured the American South and Midwest, opening for the legendary B.B. King.
