When speaking with Jen Knight, one gets an air of maturity and sophistication that stretches far beyond her years. Her passion for her music is paralled only by her skill with her craft. Singer, pianist, guitarist, dancer, painter, and songwriter, Jen is a performer in every sense of the word. And yet what is most striking about this beautiful and talented woman is her charming, fun loving, warm personality and sincere devotion to her family and friends. "I draw my strength from my friends, family, and particularly from my grandmother, Susannah Knight, who has inspired me above all." Jen's lyrics and sound reflect her values and unwavering commitment to reviving quality and culture in commercial music. "I truly aspire to create songs that are universally timeless within the world of commercial music. I also deeply desire the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives. I love what I do and it is my passionate dream to share my music with the world." Jen was raised in San Diego, moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music and now is back in S.D. following her dream in the music industry!Jen also takes time to give back to her community in special ways. She currently works as a music mentor for the Emergency Teen Homeless Shelter in San Diego called Storefront. The music mentors and teens finished recording Photocharity's first album at Studio West. The album is a collaboration of different songs written at Storefront. Jen Knight's original song "Take Your Time" is a track on the CD (now playing on the Jen's myspace page.) The CD was released April 30th 2006 at the "Photocharity Concert of Hope" at Humphreys by the Bay. It is an amazing program to check out! For more information please check out www.photocharity.org
