About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V3.6 !
Yess, right then..... got bored with the old impersonal bit about me so thought I'd write a new one....Hello! My names Laurence Clack and I've been living and playing music in London for the last 6 years (I think). I mostly play the drums and I've been doing that for about 13 years (I think), although I occasionally pick up the bass and the guitar and also scratch a bit too. I've been meaning to learn the trumpet for ages as well.....My main project is a band called Lucky Elephant which we are just working really hard to get off the ground at the moment. We're just applying the finishing touches to some demos and they'll be up in this here space as soon as it's all done n dusted. I also play with a jazz funk outfit called The Root Source and we have an album being put out on freestlye records sometime at the end of march. There's also a hammond funk quartet called The Organism made up of the core of The Root Source and we've just finished some recordings with that which should be up here soon too. I'm also involved with Lazy Habits who are a live hip hop act, Masdafari, and Angry Sheep projects. I'm also playing some stuff with Sunosis live which is really nice melodic electronica.......and also working on an interesting project involving a 30 strong choir and a 7 piece string section. Oh and I also work for Treacle Studios in Old Street. And I'm always up for playing records out --- something along the lines of funk/soul/jazz/reggae/hiphop (check my mixes). So yeh I'm gonna be switching up this page a bit more often, injecting a bit more interest into it....... There's going to be odd mixes stuck up that I've got lying around, some cuts maybe, productions of my own possibly, and some drum breaks???? So yeh, get in touch if your good enough to still be reading thru this little ditty, I'm always up for hearing about interesting projects...... or if you can find me some more hours in the day, that would be nice.......peace people!
