EXPECT A MINOR RIOT!!

About Me

Its hard to quantify what makes Chibuku so good.
Like the sub-Saharan alcoholic beverage from which its name is taken, Chibuku remains as potent as ever - not too minor a consideration given the 6th birthday came to pass in Mid March 2006 with another hugely eclectic line-up and it was one of the best parties to date.
These days it becomes almost futile to list the brace of names who have played at the club because yes, there are so many of them but also that, for the very few privileged clubs that exist as Chibuku does in the UK, the quality of the guest DJs, the live acts and the residents is now never in question - but also to say that, crucially, Chibuku continues to draw in the very best players and acts from around the world and closer to home. Now people expect and get the best from a party that can reach into the farthest places to bring in obscure and lesser known acts whilst wielding a magnetic pull for the established big names who cant get enough of playing in Liverpool and at the other residencies across the UK Chibuku holds like Fabric, Herbal and Stiff Kitten in Belfast. More than just a simple who's who, it is now more a case of who hasnt become part of the clubs addictive fraternity, who hasnt had the pleasure (and privilege) to play out in front of one of the most loyal and up for it crowds in the country and far, far beyond. From a room above a pub and £40 invested by ambitious friends to packing out Nation, Barlfy and many other venues, Chibuku remains one of the best clubs around by the virtuous simplicity of the core principal to which it adheres an undiluted, pure and simple dedication to putting on one of the best parties around. Chibuku has been to Malawi and Moscow, has held parties in barns, on trains and in fields, put John Peel on (RIP) in 2004 and is one of the most exciting ways to spend the evening with your knickers on. And six years on since its inception, where some clubs get a bit flabby and die of heat exhaustion and run out of ideas, Chibuku has just been put in the top 50 clubs in the WORLD, as voted by the DJs who have played there, as published in DJ Mag.They say its just a big disco but its really just one big rave.CHIBUKUGET YOUR TICKETS ATCLICK HERE FOR THE CHIBUKU SHOPSelected mentions:
