About Me

WORLD "DEMO"I think SOUL is a process of trying to be the real you in the real world...and then finding out that the real you IS the real world. No matter what your demographic is, that takes faith in yourself...and soul. Thats my song.411Umm.....I'm interested in how all of the pieces fit together, and I think everything is relevant, and even spiritual. I spent my earlier years on course to be a painter and a filmmaker. Then I was inspired to explore world cultures and religions, human development, journaling, Jungian psychology, and education. Somewhere along the way, retail happened. And now (finally) I'm studying music, Argentine tango, and Latin America, primarily PERU.INSPIREDMy main musical influences were from my parents jazz and film-score vinyl. Although there was Ella, and Miles, I personally remember ultra-mellow Johnny Matthis the most. In high school, I was inspired by Stings brand of cool. In interviews, he talked about how getting a good education was extremely important, and that you could be a rebel quietly, internally. Around this time I would accompany my father on monthly routes to seafood docks and produce warehouses in Maryland. There, pouring out of tiny junk-radios was the most intense soulful R&B and Gospel sound. I was hooked. Besides Seal, a few admirable indie artists and Latin / Brazilian Jazz, thats my inspiration story.
