Claustrofobia started in 1996, in Leme – a satellite city of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Over the last 11 years, the band has successfully conquered its grounds on the scene, becoming the most important Thrash/Hardcore/Death Metal band of the Brazilian underground, with avid and loyal fans across the country. The band had been playing with unmistakable attitude and energy at many concerts all over Brazil and Europe, sharing the stage with consecrated bands on the international scene, such as Soulfly, Destruction, Napalm Death, Vader, Krisiun, Hate Eternal, Ratos de Porão, Paul Di Anno and Sepultura. It is also one of the rare underground bands breaking through to important TV programs showcasing heavy music, an unusual fact for musicians from the Brazilian metal scene. The band is young yet experienced, celebrating its 11th anniversary this year with the original line-up.
FULMINANT
Claustrofobia released “Fulminant”, their most violent album to date, with the participation of Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) in “Eu Quero é Que Se Foda” and Alex Camargo (Krisiun) in “Fact”. It is a strong opus perfectly combining the most brutal elements of thrash, hardcore and death metal, all sprinkled with a twist of southern groove and delivered in a psychopath heavy metal mood, what Brazilians call METAL MALÓKA!
“Fulminant” was recorded on a fully analogue system at Da Tribo Studio (Sao Paulo – Brazil), emphasizing the raw, heavy and powerful sound of Claustrofobia. The band had the opportunity to work with Ciero again, who recorded Krisiun..s “Bloodshed”.
“Fulminant” is available around the world through VOICE MUSIC (Brazil), CAUSTIC RHYTHMS (Canada), in Europe through PHD (UK & Europe), and in the USA through MANIC MUSIC, THE END, VERY, CM DISTRO, and other major outlets.
EUROPEAN TOUR 2007 AND THE FUTURE
Claustrofobia have just come back from their first European tour, spanning over 4 months. The band hit Germany, Austria, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium and Poland, sharing stages with highly respected acts in the local and international metal scene. With open minds, dedicated to metal and committed to hard work, Claustrofobia starts a whole new era of brutality by unleashing their young spirit to the heavy music scene.

A banda iniciou suas atividades em 1994 na cidade de Leme/SP-Brasil e mantém a mesma formação desde 1996 até os dias atuais. Durante todo esse tempo conquistaram seu espaço na cena sendo a principal banda de Thrash/HardCore/Death Metal do Underground Brasileiro, além de muitos fãs que fielmente os acompanham. Com muita atitude realizaram inúmeros shows por todo o Brasil além de ter dividido o palco com bandas consagradas da cena mundial como Soulfly, Destruction, Napalm Death, Krisiun, Hate Eternal, Ratos de Porão, Paul Di Anno, Vader e Legion of the damned (European tour 2007) e com o Sepultura no glorioso "Sepulfest". Também foram uma das únicas bandas que tiveram o mérito de aparecer em importantes programas de TV divulgando a musica pesada, fato raro atingido por bandas do Underground Brasileiro.

FULMINANT
Acaba de ser lançado seu mais novo e violento álbum intitulado "Fulminant" que conta com as participações de "Andreas Kisser" (Sepultura) em "Eu quero é que se foda" e "Alex Camargo" (Krisiun) em "Fact". O álbum foi lançado no Brasil pela Voice Music e nos Estados Unidos e Canada pela Caustic Rhythms, foi gravado no Da Tribo Estúdio (localizado em São Paulo/SP - Brasil) no sistema 100% analógico com o intuito de captar fielmente o peso e o poder da banda. Sendo assim, tiveram a oportunidade de trabalhar com o produtor Ciero. Neste álbum valorizaram a criatividade e com muita personalidade uniram os elementos mais brutais do Thrash/Hardcore/Death Metal com o Swing do Brasil, resultando numa pancadaria musical no melhor estilo brasileiro e num clima do mais puro Metal. Toda essa mistura é denominada pela banda e pelos fãs como METAL MALÓKA.

TURNÊ EUROPÉIA 2007 E O FUTURO
Recentemente acabam de voltar de sua primeira turnê Européia, que durou quatro meses e passou por vários países, entre eles Alemanha, Áustria, Holanda, Suíça, Bélgica e Polônia. Nessa turnê eles dividiram o palco com bandas conceituadas e respeitadas da cena, além de fazer parte do line-up do tradicional festival alemão METAL BASH OPEN AIR. Iniciando assim uma escalada definitiva e consciente dentro do circuito do Metal mundial. Com uma visão lúcida e de compromisso com o Metal, de cabeça aberta e quebrando todas as barreiras existentes na música pesada como, preconceito e radicalismo, inicia-se agora uma nova ordem com espírito jovem e de renovação perante a música pesada brasileira! Com atitude, protesto, amor e revolta, Claustrofobia nada mais é do que a trilha sonora atual de tudo que acontece nesse nosso habitat chamado Brasil!
