About Me
Hello people,My name is Andreas Kisser, married, three kids and some guitars. I was born in Brazil in a city called Sao Bernardo in the state of São Paulo on the 24th of August,1968..my father is a retired as a car and buses engineer at Mercedez Benz Brazil and my mother is an artist who can play some archodeon, paint beatiful paintings and she's a german teacher in Sao Paulo. I starded playing acoustic guitar in 1981, learning basic chords with brazilian popular music. Later, I discovered Kiss and Queen, and that changed my life, specially because the two bands came to play in Brazil on the early 80's and I had the oportunity to see Kiss live in SP, after that my mom helped to get my first guitar.I starded a band with friends in school to play the bands we loved at the time, Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Twisted Sister, Whitesnake, Venom, Metallica, etc.that was a great school for me, to play all those bands of different styles, I've learn a lot from all those guitarrists, plus bands like Pink Floyd, Yes, Blues Guitar like Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn , Classical guitar masters like Segovia, John Williams, Romero Brothers, Leo Brower, Baden Powell, Villa Lobos, Tarrega, Fernando Sor, etc.I joined SEPULTURA in 1987 after meeting the band and friends on a vacation trip to Belo Horizonte, recorded my first album, called SCHIZOPHRENIA, released the same year. With that album we got a contract to release our next record worldwide..I lived in the United States from 1993 to 2001, moved back to Brazil, were we still live today.I'm currently working with SEPULTURA, touring all over the world supporting our latest release DANTE XXI. Also working on my first solo album, entitle HUBRIS I & II, the first album will be more related to the electric guitar and the second to the acoustic guitar, it will be released early 2008. I'm also working on the soundtrack for a movie in Brazil, producing different projects and bands, playing with my side projects BR ROCK STARS, EMBROMATION SOCIETY, Guitar clinics, etc..I like to stay home as much as I can, stay with my family, play in the pool with the kids, watch football every day, drink good beer, eat japanese, brazilian, german, indian, thai, food..I believe on the OCHAMM'S RAZOR's way, I admire Albert Einstein, Gandhi, Mandela, Bono Vox, Betinho, Roberto Freire, Dante Aleghieri, Anna Tarkush, Rog..rio Ceni, Mario S..rgio Cortella, and the most important person in my life, the balance and support of all, Patricia, my wife.
