About Me
Created with mySpace Profile EditorMYFLYPROFILE.NETSYMPHONY is often referred to as a new millennium Beethoven. This mysterious prodigy began his musical venture as a percussionist at the early age of one and began playing the piano at age 7. With his greatest interest in classical music and favorite composers such as Beethoven, Bach and Mozart, Symphony was definitely more accelerated than most children his age. Some perceived him to be a bit “strange†or “weird,†but then again, most geniuses are. He went through various aliases before finally finding the one destined to be his and it wasn’t until seeing the name on a candy bar that he settled on the moniker “Symphony†which, coincidentally, perfectly suited his love for classical music and the orchestra.Throughout his school-age years, Symphony participated as a member of his school’s band. His band leader had great faith in his ability as a percussionist, which is why it disappointed him to have to kick his best student out of the class for not taking his talent serious enough or, as his Symphony’s teacher said, “not applying your skill.†He knew this student was capable of much better performance. Being dismissed from the band had minimal impact on Symphony because he played various other instruments, including having previously discovered his passion for the piano. He still had his music and continuously worked at honing his craft.Symphony started his production career at the age of 13, composing music for a local gospel-rap group. While playing for his church’s Youth Choir, he realized that as much as he loved doing what he was doing, he wanted to make a career of it and did not want to be labeled as a gospel music producer, only. In his own words, “music is music†and he wanted to compose music for all genres. He wanted to do it all. This is why, today, he incorporates a large variety of culture into his sound, from Hip Hop to Brazilian, you name it. He admires and his influences are artists and producers such as Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Quincy Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Prince, Al Green, Marvin Gaye and many more. His versatility is one of the qualities that has brought him thus far and is certain to take him much further. His recent accomplishments include having produced Shady/Aftermath signee, Stat Quo’s, buzz single, “Like Dat,†which has also been placed with EA Sports ’NBA Live 2006’, Rockstar Games ’Midnight Club 3 Dubb Edition’,Showtime and HBO’s Entourage TV show. He has also done production work for Tone Tone (Jazze Pha/ShoNuff recording artist), Sheek Looch (The Lox) and Tito Six f/ Memphis Bleek. Cash Money Millionaire, Lil Wayne, has also recorded to Symphony’s production work on a popular Atlanta mixtape. Symphony is now the President and owner of his production company, Symphonic Jointz Productions.
